Join Our Community EMS Team – There’s a Place for You!
Becoming a volunteer with our Community EMS agency is simple and rewarding. If you’re at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license, you’re eligible to apply. Once accepted, we’ll provide you with all the training necessary to become a registered Community First Responder.
While there’s a lot to learn, the training is designed to be approachable and practical. Not only will you be preparing to help your community, but you’ll also gain valuable skills to handle emergencies in your own home and care for your loved ones.

As a Community First Responder, you’ll provide general support and first aid at community events, you are trained to help during critical emergencies like cardiac arrests, you are assisting our licensed medical volunteers, educate community members in regard to common medical problems and be a vital resource when your community needs help the most.
Here are a few examples of the curriculum for Community First Responders:
American Heart Association (AHA) CPR / AED certificate
Stop The Bleed (American College of Surgeons) certificate
FEMA Incident Command System
Medical Terminology
NARCAN (Naloxone) application
Basic Level of patient assessment
The Human body and vital organs
Basic Wound Care

Expected duration of your training is about 6 weeks. All training will be provided in Roswell. No need to travel. And yes – your complete training is free of charge and will be provided by certified instructors and licensed medical clinicians.
